Welcome to my blog!

Inger Birkeland: Kongsberg, Norway; I am a gestalt therapist and a professor of human geography at the University of South-Eastern Norway with experience from higher education since 1996. Over the years, I’ve explored and written extensively about people and places, society and nature, blending international experience with a passion for interdisciplinary collaboration. On this blog, I’ll share insights into sustainability transformations emphasizing the vital connection between human well-being and ecological health. For me, sustainability is about enhancing quality of life while fostering balance between humans and the natural world. Human health is inseparable from the planet´s health. My mission is to inspire and support others in living balanced, fulfilling lives in alignment with themselves, others, and the planet. Join me on this journey as we explore ideas and strategies for creating a sustainable, thriving future for all.
